SOCKETWorx users must be granted permissions to access documents. This applies to the PDF files that reside within Connection primary document directories or Amazon storage. This article does not cover setting up these file repositories, but rather the SOCKETWorx Role permissions that must be set so documents can be retrieved.
Setting Role Permissions for Documents
Step 1: Determine the role to change
- 1) Navigate to Setup under the User options
- 2) Under Active Users, search for the target role
- 3&4) Navigate to Security Setup and Roles
Step 2: Enable Global Settings
- There are 3 system Roles: Administrator, Standard, and View.
- Roles can be added as needed, and permissions are set under the Key button.
- Once the Permissions popup window displays, 1) set to Global, and 2) use the search to find all document permissions.
- Target settings by checking/unchecking the multi-select option in column one and clicking the Enable/Disable toggle buttons.
Step 3: Enable Connection Settings
- 1) Switch to the Connections page and 2) pick the Connection to set.
- 3) search for all the document permissions and set using the multi-select (4) column and enable/disable toggles (5).
IMPORTANT: Use the Clone permissions to apply settings from the active Connection to one or more other Connections.
Return to the User pages and ensure the permissions are set as desired.
