Issue:

You have a Bentley AutoPLANT model and need to convert it to a CADWorx Plant Professional model

Solution:

  1. Export your PCF from AutoPLANT

    1. Run the Component connectivity checker

    2. Export each line number into its own file

  2. Import AutoPLANT specifications into CADWorx Specifications.

    1. Create a new catalog

    2. Import AutoPLANT catalog data

    3. Create a new specification

    4. Import AutoPLANT Specification data

  3. In CADWorx Plant Professional set your new PRJ as the default

  4. Run PCFIN to import your AutoPLANT PCF

Notes:

Your exported PCF could be a single line number or have multiple line numbers.

You may encounter an error during the PCFIN command. Find the text it mentions, in the PCF and modify as needed. Below is an example:

  Wrong formatted string, no 4 leading spaces: 'PIPING-SPEC XXXXX
