CADWorx and Casear II currently uses a form of the Sentinel HASP technology that requires the NETHASP.ini file. The NETHASP.ini file needs the IP Address of the server housing the HASP lock in order to find the license key. Intergraph standard instructions indicate that the NETHASP.ini file should be placed along side the AutoCAD executable - acad.exe or the Caesar II executable.
Attached is an example nethasp.ini Please modify this file and place it in the appropriate location below.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Intergraph CAS\CAESAR
C:\Program Files (x86)\Intergraph CAS\PVElite
For CADWorx, copy into AutoCAD EXE (ACAD.EXE) directory.
Example: AutoCAD 2002 - (C:\Program Files\AutoCAD 2002)
Example: AutoCAD 2004 - (C:\Program Files\AutoCAD 2004)
Example: AutoCAD 2005 - (C:\Program Files\AutoCAD 2005)
Example: AutoCAD 2006 - (C:\Program Files\AutoCAD 2006)
However, there are times when the HASP copy protection system will not detect the existence of the NETHASP.ini file when it is located in that directory. The reason for this is probably related to configuration and setup of AutoCAD or the Windows environment.
The solution is to move the NETHASP.ini file to the C:\Windows directory. The HASP copy system will then detect the NETHASP.ini file correctly and in turn be able to locate the server.
