Issue:

CADWorx needs to use a specific drawing template

Solution:

CADWorx comes with drawing templates. These templates store settings which allow CADWorx to perform efficiently. To ensure you always start CADWorx with the correct template you can change a setting in your AutoCAD Options or you can set it using an AutoCAD startup switch. To use the startup switch you will append /t NAMEOFMYTEMPLATE where NAMEOFMYTEMPLATE is the name of your template. In the image below, I changed the Target field to use the out of the box imperial.dwt to be used when I start CADWorx Plant.

"C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AutoCAD 2015\acad.exe" /P CADWorx_Plant_2015 /t imperial

By changing this field, I am assured that my CADWorx Plant will always start with the template of my choice.

To test this, Close CADWorx and reopen with your modified shortcut. You should now see CADWorx started with the template of your choice.
